Kraken is now authorized as an E-Money Institution (EMI) by the Central Bank of Ireland. This enables them to extend their EUR fiat services in partnership with European banks, covering 27 EU member states and EEA countries.
Additionally, Kraken has registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the Bank of Spain, allowing them to offer cryptocurrency exchange and custodial wallet services to Spanish residents.
